Troubleshooting

Before contacting Technical Support, please perform the following actions
Often, your issue will be resolved by checking these items:

1) Check connections, cables and bus configuration
Often, you can solve your problem by ensuring that your device is correctly connected. If you are using the ATAPI/IDE bus, please make sure that you are using a high quality 80-wire cable in order to use 16x DVDRW discs.

If connecting using ATAPI/IDE, also ensure that you are using DMA mode, and not PIO mode. DMA mode supports much greater transfer rates to your device. 

2) Check device drivers and update firmware
Make sure that you use the appropriate device driver for your bus controller (USB controller, IDE controller, etc.) Usually, you can download the latest drivers from your PC manufacturer’s website

Check our Manuals, drivers and firmware pages for firmware updates for your product. It’s possible that the problem that you are experiencing has already been fixed in a firmware update. 

3) Application Software updates (burning or playback software)
In most cases, software problems are resolved with a simple update. If you are unable to resolve your software problem, you should contact the software vendor’s technical support team. You can find software updates and contact information on the software vendor’s website.
